Yes. In doing my food additive elimination diet, I have identified other preservatives and food additives that I avoid. Some cause me non-reflux but uncomfortable symptoms, like sinus pressure or bloating. Others are known carcinogens (potassium bromate). And others are banned in Europe so I decided to cut them out of my diet (potassium bromate, titanium dioxide). And others are only found in foods with inorganic phosphates, so by default, they're off my diet anyway.

  • silicon dioxide

  • sulfur dioxide

  • sodium hydroxide

  • ammonium bicarbonate

  • potassium bromate

  • BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene)

  • Sodium benzoate

  • Titanium dioxide
